Golden Milk – Turmeric & Ginger


A warm cup of golden milk is the most beautiful shade of yellow and a great comfort when one is not feeling their best; physically or mentally. Golden milk is very easy to make. The recipe below is a single serving but can be doubled easily if you would like to make more.

Great for reducing inflammation and getting the digestive system moving in the morning, it’s also the perfect drink to have before bed. If you have any type of inflammation colitis, arthritis (anything that ends in “itis” means inflammation of a specific area) reducing that inflammation will help to minimize pain and aid the body in healing itself.

Make sure you use organic ingredients whenever possible and above all when making your Golden Milk make it with love!

Golden Milk 2

1 cup of either almond, coconut, or cashew milk

3/4 tsp of cinnamon

3/4 tsp of turmeric

1/2 tsp of ginger (fresh or powder)

1 tablespoon of raw unpasteurized honey

1-2 tablespoons of raw organic coconut oil.

Heat and combine all the ingredients over medium heat, when ready pour into a blender, pulse until a nice froth is made. Pour into your favourite cup and serve with freshly grated nutmeg!!

The combination is amazing and if you are not the biggest fan of turmeric, no need to fret, apart from the beautiful yellow colour the taste is not there. All the ingredients combine beautifully together!
