Amanda Filipowicz, CNP, BES
Founder and Holistic Nutritionist
As a child I suffered largely from eczema for which I was diagnosed as a baby and at the age of five I was labeled with having ADD; I was a very excited child, with far too much energy. Apart from taking topical medication for my skin (as I would scratch excessively- till I bled- while I slept) my parents didn’t have me take any medication.
The signs and symptoms of both (eczema and ADD) seemed to subside around the time I entered high school. However, this was also the time when I began my struggle with an eating disorder. It manifested as anorexia, lasted a little over a year or so I thought. I didn’t understand then that It had stuck with me from over a decade. I binged, purged and restricted food, supplements, people, etc., trying hard to not go back to where I was in my teens; never realizing that I was unwell or that the issues that I had could go away.
Through my schooling and the help of my peers as well as friends and family I have been able to move forward in a safe and balanced way. What I offer you here is the opportunity to become the best version of yourself, to love yourself to the fullest, throw away a clouded view of what is ‘good’ and ‘bad’ and discover a life without guilt, anxiety and discomfort, one that is filled with positive vibes, bliss and pleasure.
